I had a son born named William (Girdlestone Smith)

July 4th 1872

I baptized my son Frederick.

August 1st 1862

November 1862

Near the later part of  of November 1862, Brigham Young  (Jun), one of the apostles, came to Logan to preside over this stake.

 

       January 31, 1873 

The railroad was completed through Logan. During this year, the large Cooperative Store House was completed. All of this year I worked for UNRR. The later part Bro. George Watson and myself had a contract to lay the iron to Smithfield.
